Spell7 is an ed-tech company based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, founded in 2025. We make one thing: a daily spelling practice that takes about three minutes and is built to be worth coming back to. Why we bother is our mission.
What we make
Seven words a day, read aloud in real sentences, matched to the grade where each word is learned. Anything missed comes back until it sticks. There is a free plan and a paid one; the seven daily words are free and will stay that way.
Who it is for
Families, mostly: a parent sets up a household, each speller gets their own words, their own streak and their own list of what to review. It works the same for an adult practising alone.
How we handle your data
Children's accounts are set up by an adult and cannot buy anything. We collect what running the practice requires and no more — the details are in the privacy policy, and an account can be deleted from settings at any time, along with everything in it.
Tell us what you'd do differently
We are always looking for ways to improve, and the most useful thing you can send us is the specific moment Spell7 got it wrong: a word placed at the wrong grade, a sentence that does not fit its word, audio that says something other than what is written. Questions and bug reports go to the same place — our support page. We read everything.
